Terms of service

Last updated July 9, 2026

These are the terms for using PermitMySign, a product of Hubble42 Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. They’re written to be read. The short version: we help you prepare sign-permit applications, you stay the applicant and review everything before it goes to the city, and if the service isn’t for you there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee. Using PermitMySign means you agree to what’s below.

What PermitMySign is

PermitMySign helps sign shops prepare sign-permit applications: it checks a sign against a city’s published code with citations, estimates fees and review times, assembles application packages, tracks permit status, and drafts responses to city correction letters. It covers the specific cities and counties listed on our coverage page, each verified on the date shown.

The important disclaimers — read these

  • PermitMySign is a preparation and assistance tool. It is not legal advice and not engineering advice. When a job needs a lawyer or a licensed engineer, hire one — the app flags those moments honestly rather than pretending to fill the role.
  • No guarantee of approval. We cannot and do not guarantee that any city approves any permit. Cities exercise judgment, codes get interpreted, and reviewers disagree with software (and with each other).
  • You remain the applicant of record. Your shop is responsible for reviewing everything — the checks, the package, the drafted responses — before anything is submitted to a city.
  • Codes change. Every cited rule shows the date we verified it against the city’s published code. Cities amend ordinances, change fees, and migrate portals; between our verification passes, the city’s current published code is always the authority.

Accounts

You sign in with an email magic link — there’s no password. Keep control of that email inbox: anyone who can read it can reach your account. Accounts are for real sign businesses and their staff; don’t share one account across companies or use the service to build a competing product.

Plans, trials, and renewal

  • Three flat monthly plans: $149, $299, and $399 per month. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial of every feature.
  • Payments run through Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel — self-serve, any time, through the billing portal in the app. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access through the period you’ve paid for.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee: not happy in your first 30 days of a paid plan? Email hello@permitmysign.com and we refund it, no interrogation.
  • If we ever change prices, existing subscribers get notice by email before their price changes — never a silent increase.

Your data

The job data you enter is yours. We host it and back it up so the product works; how we handle it is spelled out in the privacy policy. If you leave, you can export your paper trail first and ask us to delete the rest.

Limits on our liability

We build carefully and cite everything, but no software is perfect. To the maximum extent the law allows: PermitMySign is provided “as is,” we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost profits, a denied permit, a missed install date), and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Ending the relationship

You can cancel any time, as above. We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, break these terms, or don’t pay — and if we ever discontinue the product, we’ll give paying customers reasonable notice and a window to export their data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario — though honestly, email us first; almost everything is fixable faster that way.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email account holders before the change takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
